Team Meeting

Today is my first time attend DCO meeting under invitation of my boss, yeepee. This is a activity under my team, acoustic team member meeting. My boss has called the meeting at Cyberplex, Tanjung Room, and this department is located quite far from my working place. You need to drive your car or riding your motorbike to get over there. I carpool with my colleague, Niam, Our new acoustic teammate. Before start the meeting, my boss treat us lunch. Wow, feel happy because this is the first time we go out in a team, I really feel glad can hangout together with my teammate and it make me feel like one of them, a part of acoustic team. Hehe, our boss treats us at Friday ,T.G.I located in Queensbay and I ordered a set of lamb stick as rich afternoon meal. I glance quickly on the menu, wow, a lamb stick cost 40++ bucks, then ice lemon tea cost RM5.90 and can refill unlimited. My supervisor ordered some kind like fried potato chip and fried prawn, my boss ordered chicken stick, Huay Thyng ordered New York Beef stick, and Niam ordered Beef stick (exact name I forget already, will be update immediately after I know the name). Food served there looks delicious and you will satisfy after you taste it, yummy…. So friend, next time if you feel free and want to try food at Friday, you can try New York Beef stick and Lamb Stick, both of it is recommend by my boss. Then I have tried lamb stick, it taste pretty good, then New York stick and beef stick I prefer the beef stick, the stick grill without mix with the source, I come separate with the source. While lamb stick and New York Beef Stick they grill it together with the source.

After lunch, I saw a Penang Bridge Marathon booth along the way to get car,

“early bird will receive Yeo’s hamper/product and Adidas cash voucher worth RM50.00”

The slogan attracted me to their booth; just RM10.00 needed to register for fun run, 10KM and you will get Yeo’s hamper/product and Adidas voucher worth RM50.00.

RM50.00 (adidas voucher) + RM8 (Yea’s product-my estimated price) =RM58
RM58-RM10 (registration fee) =RM48
Memory on that day= priceless

See, we still have RM48 return. Damn worth promotion, in addition, 20 top Malaysian full marathon finishers (14 men & 6 women) will be selected to participate in the Singapore Marathon 2007 and the top 2 finishers in Singapore will be flown to either London, Berlin or Prague Marathon in 2008.
Therefore, my dear friends, if you feel you are a good runner. Please win an honor for our country.

After that is the very boring meeting, the longest meeting I have ever attended, about 5 hours meeting, we do discuss many things in the meeting but mostly out of my understanding range. I try to catch up what is our team currently doing and just can understand 5% of overall meeting. Hehe, although I can only gain 5% of their discussion but the most valuable stuff I learn during this 5 hours meeting is how the team communicate to achieve a project and how to guide your follower with keep upgrading them to better potential teammate.
